Zolani Tete

Zolani Tete was a South African professional boxer who held the WBO bantamweight world title and who is remembered in boxing history for what was described at the time as the fastest knockout in a world title fight, when he knocked out Siboniso Gonya two seconds into the first round of their WBO bantamweight title defence in November 2017, a performance that brought him to international attention and that demonstrated the exceptional speed and punching power that had made him one of the most respected bantamweights in the world. He died in 2026.
