Sébastien Ajavon was a Beninese businessman who was one of the most successful and prominent entrepreneurs in West Africa, building a business empire centred on Cajaf-Comon, the company he founded that became one of the largest poultry and food distribution businesses in the region, and a significant political figure in Benin whose presidential election campaign in 2016 nearly defeated the incumbent Boni Yayi and whose subsequent legal troubles became a defining element of Beninese political life. He died in 2026 at an advanced age.
