Patricia Baird, a British-born Canadian medical geneticist, has died at the age of 88. She went on to study at McGill University, where she earned a bachelor's degree in 1959 and a medical degree in 1963. Her academic journey continued at the University of British Columbia, where she became a University Killam Distinguished Professor Emerita in the Department of Medical Genetics.
