Mousa Shubairi Zanjani, an Iranian Twelver Shia marja, died on September 21, 2026, at the age of 98. Born in Qom on March 2, 1928, Mousa Shubairi Zanjani was known as Grand Ayatollah Sayyid Mousa Shubairi Zanjani.
He was a leading voice among Twelver Shiism in Iran. His religious education began at the Qom Seminary, where he studied under Sayyid Hossein Borujerdi and Mohaqeq Damad.
