Lindsey Vonn was an American professional alpine ski racer and one of the most decorated athletes in the history of the sport. Born on October 18, 1984, in Saint Paul, Minnesota, to Linda Krohn and Alan Kildow, she began competitive skiing at a young age and went on to win four World Cup overall titles across her career. She claimed a gold medal in the downhill event at the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver and set the record for the most World Cup victories by any female skier, finishing with 82 wins.
She was married to Thomas Vonn from 2007 to 2013. Lindsey Vonn died on July 14, 2026, in Saint Paul, Minnesota. She was 41.
