Bram van Erkel was a Dutch television director, programme maker and presenter. He directed the children’s series Oebele and Q & Q, presented the school quiz Klassewerk, and made major drama series including Het wassende water and De zomer van ’45, which won a Gouden Beeld. He died in October 2026 at the Rosa Spier Huis in Laren, aged 94.

Born in Rotterdam on 24 July 1932, he trained as a teacher before moving into television in the early 1960s. He worked for the AVRO, KRO, NCRV and VARA until 2003.
