Andrea Bello was a Spanish woman who died on 15 August 2024 at the age of 34 while attempting to rescue her two children from rough sea conditions at the Cala Pregonda beach on the northern coast of Menorca, the Balearic Island in the western Mediterranean. Her children survived.
She was the wife of Héctor Bello, an Argentinian professional footballer who played in Spain, and her death in an act of parental self-sacrifice became widely known across the Spanish-speaking world through the news coverage it attracted and the public tribute her husband paid to her memory. She was born in Spain in 1989 or 1990 and was 34 years old when she died.
