Anatoly Kashpirovsky, the Soviet-era hypnotist whose televised sessions captivated millions across the USSR, died on October 3, 2026, at the age of 87. His death was confirmed in Moscow, where he had spent much of his later life. Kashpirovsky was born Anatoly Mikhailovich Kashpirovsky in Stavnytsia, Ukraine.
He trained at Vinnytsia National Medical University before building a career as a psychotherapist. During the 1980s, he gained wide attention for broadcast hypnosis sessions seen on Soviet television.
