Dzokoto became a household name through Efiewura, the TV3 comedy about a landlord and his tenants, playing the character Judge Koboo. He also appeared in other television productions, including Osumesi, and worked in radio and television broadcasting. On Edziban, he travelled to food joints across Ghana to explore local dishes and cuisines.

In the 2016 general election, Dzokoto contested the Tarkwa-Nsuaem parliamentary seat for the NDC but lost to George Mireku Duker of the New Patriotic Party.

Earlier rumours

Only a month ago, in September 2026, Dzokoto dismissed social media claims that he was critically ill. “I am perfectly healthy. I am very much full of life,” he told Adom News, urging bloggers to verify stories before publishing them.

Dzokoto spent years making Ghanaian television audiences laugh as Judge Koboo, and he died in Tarkwa, the constituency he once sought to represent in Parliament.
