Clive Davis, the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame record executive behind some of the biggest artists and hits of the past 60 years, has died at the age of 94, his family said.
Davis died on Monday, June 21, 2026, at his home in Manhattan. A representative announced the death and his family later issued a statement, saying the cause was an upper respiratory infection after a recent hospitalization.
Across stints leading Columbia Records and founding Arista Records and J Records, Davis signed and developed artists including Janis Joplin, Bruce Springsteen, Whitney Houston, Santana and Alicia Keys.
