Slavcho “Slavi” Binev was a Bulgarian businessman, politician and former taekwondo champion. He won the European taekwondo title in 1992, served as a Member of the European Parliament from 2007 to 2014 and later sat in Bulgaria’s National Assembly. He was president of the Bulgarian Olympic Taekwondo Federation. He was killed in Sofia on 24 October 2026 at the age of 60.
