Nobutaka Tsutsui, a former member of Japan’s House of Representatives, died in Tokyo on October 1, 2026, at the age of 81. His death was confirmed by his family. Tsutsui was born on November 10, 1944, in Nakakubiki District in Niigata.
He graduated from Waseda University before entering politics. Over the course of his career, he also worked as a lawyer and tax advisor.
