Thai filmmaker and artist Pieak Poster, born Somboonsuk Niyomsiri, died on September 24, 2026, at the age of 93. His passing was confirmed by sources close to his family. Pieak Poster became one of Thailand’s most recognizable film poster artists.
He started creating posters in 1953, working for more than 1,000 Thai and foreign films over the course of his career. His work defined the visual identity of Thai cinema for decades.
