Dick Guttman, a Hollywood publicist whose career spanned more than five decades, died on September 19 in Los Altos, California. He was 93. Guttman built a reputation as a trusted name behind the scenes for stars such as Barbra Streisand, Clint Eastwood, and Jay Leno.
His work included managing publicity campaigns for some of the most recognizable figures in entertainment and shaping their public images during pivotal moments in their careers. His role in Hollywood stretched back to the 1960s.
