Rufat Riskiyev was a Soviet and Uzbek amateur boxer who competed in the heavyweight division and who was one of the most significant figures in Uzbek boxing history, having competed at the Olympic Games and World Amateur Boxing Championships representing the Soviet Union and subsequently contributing to the development of professional boxing in independent Uzbekistan, a country that has become one of the most remarkable producers of world-class boxing talent in the post-Soviet world. He died in 2026 at an advanced age.
