Nicholas Alahverdian

Nicholas Rossi was an American man with multiple convictions and pending rape charges who became the subject of international news coverage when he was discovered alive in a Scottish hospital in December 2021, approximately twenty-two months after an obituary had announced his death from cancer in Providence, Rhode Island, and who subsequently died in Scottish custody on 15 January 2025 at the age of 36, having spent the intervening years fighting extradition to the United States through a series of legal challenges and identity denials that Scottish courts consistently rejected. He was born Nicholas Rossi on 4 August 1988 in Providence, Rhode Island.
