The segment, which traditionally honors those who have contributed to television, included many names but notably left out these two actors. Norris, best known for his martial arts roles in film and television, has long been a cultural icon.
Despite his influence beyond acting, he was not featured in the tribute. Nicholas Brendon, who appeared as Xander Harris in "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" and died earlier this year, also was absent.
