Chaudhry Mehmood Bashir, the Pakistani politician who served as federal minister for law and justice and held a seat in the National Assembly across three separate political eras, died on September 11, 2026. He was 88. Also known as Chaudhry Mahmood Bashir Virk, he first entered the National Assembly in 1997, serving until 1999.
He returned in March 2008 and held his seat until May 2018. He came back to the house in 2024.
