Our mission

We document the passing of people who shaped culture, sport, politics, science and public life — and we keep a permanent, respectful record of who they were.

What we publish

Every death we report is paired with two things: a news report of the death, and a permanent memorial profile covering the person's life, work and legacy.

How we work

• We publish a death as confirmed only after it is supported by reliable sourcing — typically two independent sources, or an official or family statement.
• Each report links every claim to its sources.
• We do not use AI to write our reports.
• We correct the record promptly and transparently when we get something wrong.
