The TCM Podcast "The Plot Thickens" Explores the Enigmatic World of Stanley Kubrick
The Plot Thickens, a podcast hosted by Ben Mankiewicz and produced in partnership with the Criterion Collection, is set to delve into the fascinating life and work of the reclusive and obsessive Stanley Kubrick in its upcoming 11-episode season, "Stanley." Premiering on September 24, the season will feature a never-before-heard 1972 audio interview with Kubrick conducted by Newsday film critic Joseph Gelmis.

In conjunction with the seventh season of The Plot Thickens, Turner Classic Movies (TCM) will present every one of Kubrick's feature films over four consecutive Thursdays next month, starting on September 3 with Killer's Kiss (1955). Viewers will be treated to a comprehensive showcase of Kubrick's filmography, including Fear and Desire (1952), The Killing (1956), Paths of Glory (1957), Spartacus (1960), Lolita (1962), Dr. Strangelove (1964), 2001: A Space Odyssey (1968), A Clockwork Orange, Barry Lyndon (1975), The Shining (1980), Full Metal Jacket (1987), and Eyes Wide Shut (1999). Two of Kubrick's short films, Day of the Fight and Flying Padre, both from 1951, will also be screened.
